Tomato varieties

Starting a couple years ago we transitioned to all-organic tomato seeds for our starts, and have tried lots of new varieties.
Carmello
              Started from Organic Seeds
      The All time Favorite at WeeBee Farms
EXCELLENT, sweet flavor! Has produced huge amounts every year at WeeBee Farms under all kinds of conditions. Medium to large tomatoes that are fabulous in salads and also our favorite for salsa-making.  An older French market tomato. Disease-resistant, and resistant to blossom-end rot. Open Pollinated Organic Seeds.

 Latah
    Started from Organic Seed
Favorite Early Tomato at WeeBee Farms
Developed at Latah County at the University of Idaho . Very early bright red tomato that average about 2 inches across. The flavor is very good and better than many of the super early varieties, although it doesn't produce heavily. Indeterminate, regular leaf foliage. Light, airy foliage, small plant.

Gold Nugget Cherry
                 Started from Organic Seeds
Heirloom Tomato
Produce extra-early determinate plants (55 days) that bear prolific amounts of golden, 1" oval cherry tomatoes that are deliciously sweet with a tart finish.  A wonderful cherry tomato for snacking. Comes highly recommended for flavor. Grows well in containers or in the ground.

Sophie's Choice
                      Started from Organic Seeds
An heirloom from Edmonton, Canada and introduced by Carolyn Male in 1997.  Considered to be the "best choice" for an extra early tomato. This is super early to ripen. Strong disease resistant short determinate (18"-24") produces an abundance of 8oz. globes. fruit is a red-orange outside and deep red inside.

Gardener's Delight
                   Started from Organic Seeds
Also known as Sugar Lump, these red cherries range from 3/4 to 1-1/2 inch across and are loaded with sugary sweet flavor. Has won taste tests for best-tasting cherry tomatoes. Grow in a container or in the ground. Comes highly recommended for flavor. 6 ft tall vines, open pollinated

 New Zealand Gold
                     Started from Organic Seeds
Great for containers or in the ground. Also called Earl of Edgecombe. The seeds for this New Zealand heirloom were made available through Carolyn Male, who found it the best of her 1996 seed trials. The smooth, 3-inch, round, uniformly ripening fruits are beautiful orange globes, typically borne in clusters of two or more. Flesh is firm, meaty and exceptionally flavorful.

  Matt's Wild
 Started from Organic Seeds
Deep red cherries are smaller than average with an exceptional flavor many consider the best. Matt’s keeps producing copious quantities when every other tomato in the field is down for the count with early blight. Pick frequently as skin is thin and cracks easily. Shows moderate field tolerance to Late Blight. Up to 1/4 oz fruit. Indeterminate, tall plants,  Disease Resistance: Early Blight

"Blondie"- Cherry
                  Started from Organic Seeds
            A great producer at WeeBee Farms
An adorable heirloom tomato from eastern Germany named Blondkopfchen ("little blonde girl"). Produce big, leafy, indeterminate, regular-leaf tomato plants that yield a phenomenal amount of  1/2", grape-sized, brilliant yellow/gold, cherry tomatoes in clusters of 20-30. The vines are large and sprawling, so give them plenty of space. Blondkopfchen is undoubtedly one of the BEST TASTING cherry tomatoes. Deliciously sweet with a slight citrusy tart finish. Just put this in your mouth and see if you can keep from smiling. A Non-cracking, disease resistant tomato variety.

Amish Gold

Cross between Amish Paste and Sungold. Indeterminate, regular-leaf tomato plants that yield HUGE crops of 1 1/2"-2" long, oblong shaped, gorgeous golden tomatoes with sharply-pointed end. Fruit has the gold color and flavor of the Sungold, the meatiness of the Amish Paste and delicious sweet/tart tomato flavors that will have you want this as a favorite tomato in your garden. A rare tomato variety.

        Unique pink, flavorful small tomato
Delicious, small (2-3 inch) plum-shaped, pink/red tomatoes on small plants.  A very good choice for container gardening.  Good canning tomato. Very, very tasty heirloom.

Toma Verde Tomatillo

                         Sweet Flavor!

Early variety. Flavor is tart when young and fruit becomes sweeter as it ripens. Medium to large size fruits are ready to harvest when husks split and fruit color changes from a yellow-green to medium green. Perfect for Salsa Verde or as a special addition to any Mexican dish or salad. Uniform fruit and high yields. Semi-determinate. Organic seeds from High Mowing Seeds.
